Care & warranty

CLEANING YOUR JEWELLERY
Silver Jewellery will naturally tarnish over time, however, silver that is regularly used generally needs less care. Polish all Silver Stuff jewellery with a clean jewellery  polishing cloth to bring back to original lustre.

Avoid using silver dips. or other abrasive jewellery cleaners as these contain harsh chemicals and can destroy your jewellery over time.

TOP TIPS
Wearing your jewellery is one of the best ways to prevent tarnish, because the natural oils in our skin can help to keep it clean. Always store your jewellery carefully after wearing and that individual pieces are kept separate to avoid scratching and tangling, ensure necklaces and bracelets are fastened. An air tight bag is perfect.

Avoid all contact with water, make up, body lotion, sun creams, perfume, hairspray, deodorant, cleaning products and any other chemicals, as these will tarnish silver.

Never wear your jewellery in the shower, when cleaning, or washing your hands, when swimming or coming into contact with salt water.  Jewellery could catch on clothes / towels and therefore break.

CARE OF CORDED JEWELLERY
I use the highest-grade nylon or pure silk cord for my bracelets and necklaces.  Whilst the cords are extremely durable, they are still a fabric product and extra care must be paid to keep it looking and feeling like new. I advise removing corded products before bathing or swimming to protect the overall finish.

RE-CORDING OR RE-STRINGING OF JEWELLERY
Your corded jewellery should last you many years. However I understand your jewellery may have been on a few adventures with you, which is why I offer a re-cording / re-stringing service. The cost varies depending on the item. Email me at jo@silverstuffjewellery.com and I will be happy to give you a quote and timescale.
